Raytheon RCU-1/ADR-7
The designation XADR-7A was allocated in June 1963 to a USAF decoy rocket originally designated RCU-1/B. It was a 70 mm (2.75 inch) diameter rocket, which acted as a radar decoy, operating at altitudes of 3000-12000 m (10000-40000 ft) and simulating the radar cross-section and speed of a B-52. It was designed to saturate the fire-control radar of the Russian-built SA-2 surface-to-air missile system. The ADR-7 was caried in launch pods with 8 rockets each. The decoy rocket was tested by the Air Force, but not put into production.
